Embro is growing at the new location
28 March 2023 – Embro technical embroidery expands its production capacity. At the new location in Falkenstein/Vogtland, an office and social building as well as a production and storage hall will be built. Markus Flechsing, Managing Director of Embro, welcomed the Mayor of Falkenstein, Marco Siegemund, and Ulrich Henneke, Partner at Vollack (Schkeuditz), to the symbolic ground-breaking ceremony. The experts for sustainable and energy-efficient buildings are responsible for the design, planning, and construction of the new working environment.
Embro, a specialist in technical embroidery, is officially launching its new building project in Falkenstein with the ground-breaking ceremony. A two-storey office and social building as well as a production and storage hall are being built – a total of around 2,700 square meters of gross floor space. Markus Flechsing, Managing Director of Embro, points out: “With the new building, we are sending a clear signal for the future of our company and strengthening our position as an innovative, global partner for technical textiles.”
Focus on energy efficiency
Embro relied on Vollack for the design, planning, and construction of its new production facility. The experts for sustainable and energy-efficient buildings designed the new building with an energy efficiency standard according to the specifications of KfW. Ulrich Henneke, partner at Vollack, explains: “With heat pumps that can be operated with climate-friendly and low-cost energy, we provide air-conditioning that is both environmentally friendly and comfortable to work with. A photovoltaic system on the roof of the hall secures part of the power supply and conserves resources.
Perspectives for young people
Markus Flechsing hopes that the expansion of the site and the new, modern working environment will attract talented people: “We want to be an attractive employer for young people and offer them interesting career prospects in the region. We are also continually investing in the training and development of our existing team.” Embro has been firmly rooted in the Vogtland region for more than ten years. The close ties to the region will remain even after the move from the current site in Auerbach to Falkenstein, some five kilometers away. Marco Siegemund, mayor of Falkenstein, is delighted with the industrial growth: “The ground-breaking ceremony for the construction project underlines the very successful development of Embro. For me personally, this is a clear commitment to the location of Falkenstein/Vogtland”.
Embro’s new facility will contribute to the region’s economic strength. The project is supported by the joint program for improving the regional economic structure of the Free State of Saxony and by Sparkasse Vogtland as a financing partner. The new building is scheduled for completion in spring 2024.
