Sustainability at Embro
It is important to us to use sustainable and resource-saving materials. This starts with the embroidery process, which requires few resources compared to conventional methods. Most of the electricity for this is supplied by our gigantic photovoltaic system with 134.5 kW and an impressive 340 solar modules. And since we manufacture in Germany at our Falkenstein site, this saves on long transport routes.
For manufacturing, we focus on selecting sustainable materials, including nonwoven fabric, flax, or cotton as carriers. We can also integrate plant fibers such as hemp, jute, and flax into hybrid structures. These renewable resources are biodegradable and environmentally friendly. And, of course, they offer more than just ecological benefits. For example, they improve sound insulation, offer damping properties, and have a low density for weight reduction.
Our heating elements and textile sensors use conductors and wires that have either no insulation or only a thin plastic coating. The embroidery technique allows us to apply the conductors only where they are really needed. This ensures optimal and resource-efficient use of materials. In addition, our products are wear-free, durable, and do not require costly disposal.
